We are seeking experienced and motivated Construction Foreman to lead our crews. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring that wall construction tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires a blend of hands-on work and leadership, with a focus on managing team performance, maintaining safety protocols, and coordinating with other site supervisors. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and Lead the Crew
Direct and coordinate the activities of the construction team, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
Quality Control
Ensure that all construction work meets project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.
Safety Management
Enforce safety regulations and protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure the crew uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Project Coordination
Work closely with project managers, other foremen, and subcontractors to align construction with overall project timelines and goals.
Material Management
Oversee the ordering, delivery, and storage of materials for construction, minimizing waste and ensuring materials are used efficiently.
Training and Mentoring
Provide guidance and training to crew members to develop their skills and ensure high performance.
Problem Solving
Identify and resolve any issues that arise during construction, from technical challenges to personnel conflicts.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety incidents.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and motivational skills.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Certifications: OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is highly desirable.
