PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Harper’s earthwork expertise was critical to the success of this massive land project, which covers roughly one square mile in size – 511 acres in all.
The main race course is 4.5 miles, which combines the east course of 2.24 miles and the west course of 2.2 miles. The track is designed to accommodate either one large event, or two smaller simultaneous events.
Harper was responsible for the massive grading aspect of Miller MotorSports Park. Owner Larry Miller said he was impressed with Harper’s work.
“The earthwork was so important on that job – everything revolved around it. I called Rulon personally because we’ve used them over the years. I said, ‘We’re really struggling here. If we’re going to do this, I need your personal assurance that you’ll watch it. When we gave them the go ahead and turned them loose on it, by about the third day I couldn’t believe how much work had been done. They did everything they said they would do. They were on or ahead of the schedule in all phases. It was amazing how much earth they moved in the time they did it. I can’t say enough good things about them.” – Larry H.
